September 3, 2012 - Dr. Aly El Samman receives French Legion of Honor

Ambassador Jean Felix-Paganon, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs' special representative for the Sahel region, presents Dr. Aly El Samman with the Legion of Honor

(Paris 3-9-2012) At the exclusive Cercle de l’Union Interalliée in Paris, Jean Felix-Paganon, personal representative of the French foreign minister, on behalf of President Francois Hollande, presented Dr. Aly El Samman, president of the International Union for Intercultural and Interfaith Dialogue and Peace Education (ADIC) with the insignia of Officer of the French National Order of the Legion of Honor, in recognition of  his invaluable and tireless efforts for Egyptian-French relations and  the promotion of intercultural and religious dialogue and peace education.

Many renowned figures attended the ceremony such as former French Minister of Defense Jean-Pierre Chevènement, Mrs. Boutros Boutros Ghali, former Ambassadors of France to Egypt Jean-Claude Cousseran, Patrick Leclercq, writers, artists and a host of French and Egyptian personalities.
